8.The Precious Balance Between Time and Money

The Precious Balance Between Time and Money

In 1991, I embarked on my career journey in Bangalore, India. My first job came with a meager monthly salary of Rs 800. In those early days, I hopped onto city buses for my daily commute and often chose to walk the 6 to 7 kilometers back home in the evenings, all to save a single rupee on bus fare, despite it taking more than an hour.

Reflecting on this experience, I realized that in everyone's life, there are phases where we have more time and less money, as well as periods when there's sufficient money but not enough time to spare. It became evident that money is precious, and slowly life taught me that time is even more precious. We can use our time wisely to make money, but money cannot buy back the time that has slipped through our fingers. The saying "time is money" carries profound wisdom, signifying that time is priceless and irreplaceable. While we employ time to earn money, we must recognize that money cannot retrieve the time we've lost. Thus, time emerges as more valuable than money or any other worldly possession. Money can be utilized to accumulate wealth, but it cannot grant us additional time.

For entrepreneurs, every second is a valuable commodity, and it often feels as though there is never enough time in the day. The pace of the world is accelerating, and our attention is in demand on multiple fronts simultaneously. Protecting our time has become more essential than ever, leading us to make choices such as skipping initial company meetings, setting clear work-hour boundaries, or using our free time more productively.

While most of us perceive time as a passive measurement between events, its true essence transcends the ticking clock. Time signifies the potential for action before our journey through life concludes.

Money undoubtedly holds a significant place in our lives, but we frequently underestimate the value of another essential factor - time. Managing time efficiently is crucial for achieving various life aspirations, such as traveling, studying abroad, or securing your dream job. When we start equating wasting time with squandering money, we gain a deeper appreciation for this invaluable resource.

All individuals, regardless of their background or financial status, are allocated the same 24 hours each day. The distinction lies not in using all 24 hours, but in how we utilize them. Successful individuals make the most of their time to advance in life.

Time is a resource we acquire and can allocate just like money. However, the crucial distinction is that when we lose money, we often have opportunities to recover it. On the contrary, lost time is irretrievable, regardless of the amount of money at our disposal.

Consider the urgency of a patient seeking medical care or an entrepreneur opting for the fastest mode of travel to seal a critical business deal. In these scenarios, time is prioritized over money. Thus, the importance of time over money in life becomes unmistakable.

It is said that time is money, emphasizing the need to use this invaluable resource efficiently to achieve success and material prosperity. Those who truly comprehend the worth of time are the ones who attain success. In the end, time's paramount importance is encapsulated in the phrase, "Time is money."

7.Finding True happiness in life

Finding True Happiness in Life The saying, "It is not how much we have, but how much we enjoy," encapsulates a profound truth about the pursuit of happiness. The very essence of life revolves around the pursuit of happiness, and this pursuit is fueled by hope. While the future is uncertain, we live with the hope that it holds something better for us. Consider the paradox of wealth and happiness. Many individuals amass vast fortunes and acquire material possessions beyond measure, yet they find themselves inexplicably unhappy. On the flip side, there are those who possess considerably less in terms of wealth and material goods, yet they radiate joy and contentment. Think back to a time when you yearned for something—perhaps a new car, a bigger house, or a promotion at work. You likely envisioned the happiness it would bring. But when you finally achieved your desired goal, the happiness you experienced may not have been as enduring or intense as you had imagined. Does this mea...

Today's maturity is different form yesterday's

Arivu  ಅರಿವು … The Maturity at which we deal today is different from the maturity with which we dealt same on yesterday. I was discussing with a good friend of mine for his decision of postponing his marriage even after late 30’s.  He questioned me, what makes difference if it is too late marriage? Suddenly did not have answer to justify. But I believe, the intimacy at innocence age has different experience and feeling than the intimacy after over maturity. Every day pass by, we add an experience. Every time we meet a person we add an experience and get matured. It is foolish to say, I am meeting today with the same maturity had yesterday. Every experience showered gives a maturity in your life. I always say in my beginning of the speech, the person walked inside this room is not the same person when you go back. It adds a new experience in his life and adds a new wisdom on to the person. And it is true the person  gets next level of maturity when...

Poverty

“What is poverty – the state of being extreme poor ”. Different people have the different poverty. Someone has poverty of wealth. some body has poverty of love, peace,  happiness, health… Everyone has the poverty. Everyone undergo the poverty. Nobody has abundance of everything.   Man was going to temple and saw the beggars sitting at the entrance and explained his child they are poor people and poverty state. He went inside the temple and started praying with the God to provide the health. Child was confused. My experience in the life is that, each one undergoes all type of poverty at different time. When I started my life I had poverty of money, worked for some time and started the business. The moment started experiencing money in hand started feeling the poverty of love after some time got married. Again found poverty of happiness then we had a child and so on. Also my experience is poverty of one can lead to poverty of other. The poverty def...
