World doesn’t remember what you have, But world remembers only what you gave

We have been taught since child hood , the purpose of life is to get something   from outside the world. The education teaches how to get rank, how to get medal, how to get the shield. Every game focus on  getting   the prize. All the education counseling is to study the best earning field like doctor, Engineer , lawyers etc.,   We have been molded to earn or get something from this world. And we teach same thing to our children.  “ World doesn’t remember what you have, But world remembers   only what you gave ”. We remember Mahathma Gandhi, Mother Theresa, Thomas alva edison , Einstein and so on for not what they had. But what they gave to this world.     World remember both positive or negative. Osama bin laden also remembered but for the trouble he gave to this world. So question is what you give to the world is  more important. Sachin Tendulkar has been remembered for the success he gave to the country, Jesus has been rememb...

Focus on the higher, lower will drop itself

We always feel challenge to wake up our children in the morning. I am trying to set a discipline to wake up my son at 5.30AM. He spends more than 20 minutes to get up from bed after he wakes up. But I observed one day, he had to go for a trip with his friends from school. He had to leave home by 5.00 AM. Surprisingly he got up twice in the mid night and finally   4.00AM before the alarm rings. One thing we can make out here, “ between less pleasure and more pleasure we always chose more pleasure ”. Between daily getting up and sleeping for while, sleeping is more pleasure, so, he prefers to sleep. On the day of school trip, the more pleasure to him  is going with his friends. Now the realization is how we can create more pleasure to him instead struggle to wake him up.   Sleeping is everybody likes it, but solution to that is not reduce sleep, instead start liking something more than the sleep. The easiest way to take a person out of hell is not to speak aga...

Kannada-Need for the respect is more than need for the growth

Discipline is freedom

Discipline is always confused with Freedom. We often have challenge in convincing the discipline is freedom. Any time we speak about the discipline people immediately relate to the freedom has lost. Very often People think “Freedom is doing what we like” but I always believe it is “ not doing what we like, but it is liking what we do” It is a discipline that gives you the "freedom" to take care of yourself and your family on a level that you desire and of which you can be proud. -      A river flows in the banks has a freedom with discipline, the moment it goes out of the banks it destroys the many thing, it has a freedom but indiscipline freedom that is called floods -     Waves in the sea has freedom with discipline, the moment it goes out of sea, it is called tsunami. It   has freedom but no meaning for its life. It destroys. -     The kite with a thread has freedom to it and meaning to it. The moment if you cut the thread, it has...

Be good- Be performer

One day my son suddenly started behaving very good with me, It took some time to understand. Then understood his weekly test marks are low for which he is finding the way to be good to compensate the non performance. First I was impressed with his goodness. But immediately realized that I am encouraging the non performance can be manipulated with temporary good behaving.    You might be a wonderful person, You could be a very honest person, very kind at heart, very helpful and obedient to your boss, parents and teachers. Who cares?   Your goodness cannot substitute to your bad performance. Even if you are good, you will be disrespected if you don’t show good results. You need to be good and also you need to be a performer. If you are an exceptional performer that does not mean that you would have the license to be a bad person. Even if you are a top performer in the organization, if you have all the bad qualities, then will the world look up to you. No Way!!....

The need for the respect is greater than the need for the growth

All of us are experienced with our children,   child   oblige easily to   others than the parents. Child oblige to the teacher or neighbor uncle more than own parents. Two possibilities we can observe here, either, he is scare of them or he respects them. Oblige because scared of them is a temporary phenomena. But, child oblige repeatedly means, it is because of the respect. Being a parents, it is no doubt about that , parents have intention of child growth. But still child hardly oblige because of one thing missing here is that, the child is not feeling he is being respected by you . Many parents take granted to enforce on the child with authority. Unless you make your child to feel respected, he will not grow in your hand. The respect needed here is more than the growth . If you want your child growth, before expecting him to oblige, it is your responsibility to make him to feel, he has respected from you more. similarly in organisat...

Count your blessings not the troubles

Count your blessings not the troubles  In my journey of life and the lessons gleaned from personal experiences that I aspire to share in the book I am endeavoring to publish, one profound revelation stands out. It revolves around our tendency to attribute our challenges and discontent to external factors—the country we reside in, the state and city we belong to, the educational institutions we attended, or even our family lineage. We extend this blame to the very fabric of our society, including our parents and their predecessors. Yet, upon closer examination, it becomes evident that the prosperity or adversity of a nation isn't solely determined by geographical location or available resources. Take Japan, for instance—a nation with limited arable land and abundant mountains. Despite these seemingly unfavorable conditions, Japan has emerged as a global economic powerhouse, relying on its innovative prowess rather than abundant resources. Notably, intellectual and racial diff...
