1. Covid 19 Pandemic: Embracing life's True Values

"Covid 19 Pandemic: Embracing Life's True Values"

The COVID-19 pandemic shook the world, forcing us to reevaluate our lives, our priorities, and our values. In the face of uncertainty, the pandemic taught us invaluable lessons that we must carry forward. These lessons are a testament to the strength of the human spirit and a reminder of what truly matters in life.

Life's Fragility:  "In the crucible of the pandemic, the fragility of life became painfully evident, etched into the fabric of a personal tragedy that unfolded within the circles of my closest friends. The story began when a dear friend's husband, on a business trip to Bangalore, found himself entangled in the clutches of COVID-19. The hotel where he stayed instructed him to leave immediately and go to the hospital. However, finding a good hospital was challenging, and he sought my help. An urgent plea for help echoed from both Bangalore and Delhi, where his wife anxiously reached out to me, seeking a lifeline for her family. Pooling every ounce of influence, we navigated the labyrinth of pandemic-induced challenges, securing a hospital bed against the odds. For four days, tension hung heavy in the air as he battled the virus, while his wife and their six-year-old child tested positive in Delhi.

The situation took a critical turn for the worse for the wife fighting the virus in Delhi. Urgency dictated a rush to her side, an arduous journey compounded by travel restrictions without the coveted COVID-positive certificate. On the sixth day, a delicate dance with bureaucracy allowed him passage back to Delhi.

However, the cruel hand of fate had already woven its course. In the ICU, under the weight of sheer pressure, she succumbed to the merciless grip of the virus. Alone in a neighbor's house, their six-year-old child bore witness to a tragedy that underscored the profound lesson of the pandemic—that life, once taken for granted, is inherently fragile. From this somber experience, we learned a profound lesson: the pandemic showed us the brevity and preciousness of life."

The pandemic was a stark reminder of the brevity and preciousness of life. We witnessed the tragic loss of millions of lives, and it made us reevaluate our own existence. Life is short and unpredictable. We learned that we must cherish each moment, count our blessings, and appreciate the experiences, both good and bad. Family and friends became more important than ever, and adapting to any situation became a crucial skill.

Job Insecurity: The pandemic had a profound impact on our professional lives. Businesses closed, industries faltered, and millions lost their jobs unexpectedly. Job security, once taken for granted, proved to be an illusion. We learned that our success is not solely defined by job security. Instead, it's about widening our skill sets, considering roles outside our comfort zone, and never stopping our networking efforts.

The Power of Savings: Traditionally, Indians have been savers, but this practice had been fading. The pandemic reminded us of the importance of saving for our future. Building a culture of saving is essential, not just for financial security but also for our well-being. We should maintain an adequate emergency fund, diversify our investment portfolio, and avoid taking loans we cannot afford to repay. Health insurance became a necessity, and we learned to enjoy the benefits of living a simpler life.

Nature's Warning: COVID-19 was Nature's way of signaling us to stop abusing the Earth and all its resources. Future pandemics are a looming threat if we do not take immediate action. The pandemic originated from the exploitation of wildlife and crowded, unsanitary conditions in markets. We must treat nature with respect and make sustainable choices to prevent further catastrophes.

Health Is True Wealth: The most crucial lesson from the pandemic is that health is the ultimate wealth. It is not a privilege but a priority. We must prioritize our health, regardless of age. Our bodies are like vehicles carrying our lives, and they require maintenance. Regular check-ups, proper nutrition, exercise, and hygiene should take center stage in our lives.

The COVID-19 pandemic has left an indelible mark on our world, teaching us profound lessons about life, work, savings, nature, and health. These lessons are a reminder that, in the face of adversity, we can learn, adapt, and emerge stronger. I wish we should carry these lessons forward and make the world a better place, one mindful choice at a time.

7.Finding True happiness in life

Finding True Happiness in Life The saying, "It is not how much we have, but how much we enjoy," encapsulates a profound truth about the pursuit of happiness. The very essence of life revolves around the pursuit of happiness, and this pursuit is fueled by hope. While the future is uncertain, we live with the hope that it holds something better for us. Consider the paradox of wealth and happiness. Many individuals amass vast fortunes and acquire material possessions beyond measure, yet they find themselves inexplicably unhappy. On the flip side, there are those who possess considerably less in terms of wealth and material goods, yet they radiate joy and contentment. Think back to a time when you yearned for something—perhaps a new car, a bigger house, or a promotion at work. You likely envisioned the happiness it would bring. But when you finally achieved your desired goal, the happiness you experienced may not have been as enduring or intense as you had imagined. Does this mea...

Today's maturity is different form yesterday's

Arivu  ಅರಿವು … The Maturity at which we deal today is different from the maturity with which we dealt same on yesterday. I was discussing with a good friend of mine for his decision of postponing his marriage even after late 30’s.  He questioned me, what makes difference if it is too late marriage? Suddenly did not have answer to justify. But I believe, the intimacy at innocence age has different experience and feeling than the intimacy after over maturity. Every day pass by, we add an experience. Every time we meet a person we add an experience and get matured. It is foolish to say, I am meeting today with the same maturity had yesterday. Every experience showered gives a maturity in your life. I always say in my beginning of the speech, the person walked inside this room is not the same person when you go back. It adds a new experience in his life and adds a new wisdom on to the person. And it is true the person  gets next level of maturity when...

Poverty

“What is poverty – the state of being extreme poor ”. Different people have the different poverty. Someone has poverty of wealth. some body has poverty of love, peace,  happiness, health… Everyone has the poverty. Everyone undergo the poverty. Nobody has abundance of everything.   Man was going to temple and saw the beggars sitting at the entrance and explained his child they are poor people and poverty state. He went inside the temple and started praying with the God to provide the health. Child was confused. My experience in the life is that, each one undergoes all type of poverty at different time. When I started my life I had poverty of money, worked for some time and started the business. The moment started experiencing money in hand started feeling the poverty of love after some time got married. Again found poverty of happiness then we had a child and so on. Also my experience is poverty of one can lead to poverty of other. The poverty def...
